A letter to my mother.

Hey mum!

I’m in Jamaica right now! This place is very awesome , you know I’ve been wanting years to come here and visit this wonderful country. The travel was good and I didn’t have any problem at the airport.

Actually I’m writing you from the hotel. The apartament hotel where I’m going to stay this days has three stars but it’s still better than others that I have seen. 

Who are the things going at home? I have so many things to tell you when I finally come back. One of this things is that , yesterday , I went to one of the beaches which are near of the hotel. They’re really beautiful and the water was extremely clear. 

There I spent the day taking the sun and swimming in the ocean. I thought I was at a paradise. But then , a men with a lot of dreadlocks come to me and told me with a big smile if I wanted some weed. Weed! I’m still thinking that this men told me that because of my fabulous gypsy look , but I don’t care. Of course I took the weed and... it was really good. 

If the next travel you come with me , i’ll try to give you a little.

Budget for the travel.

Awkwardly I get to save 1.500$ I just don't know how, but that's like A LOT of money. This is how II did expend it not without my wallet crying a little bit :')

Don't you think I saved the money left, no, that't for souvenir, you know, t-shirts, postals, weed... just the typical things you'll buy as souvenirs. 

How did I came with the idea of travel to the Caribbean.

Okay, I know that travel to a daydream destination may seem imposible to some people. It's something we only dare to dream, or maybe plan to but like in our retirement. But one day, after I came home from my job , tired of all the routine in my life, and needy for a break in all the monotony of the day-to-day, I just layed on my sofa to watch TV, and for the displease of my envy, there was a documentary of the beaches of the caribbean sea. Well so I had a revealing dream and I saw it clear; the glow of the Golden sun warming my face, the sway of trees as gente breezes caress the Green landscapes, the calming whisper of water waves...I could hear and feel it, and I needed it.

Why did I had to leave it in just a dream? Why couldn't I make it come true?
It's been a lot of extra hours in my job since  then, and a lot of less beers with Friends, but it was just for a time, and I swear it was totally worth it, and let me tell you, these things are not as expensive as we think.

Okay, so I had the dream and the money, I just needed the perfect destination. And after hours of investigation I found a place that fits my personality like a ring on one's finger; that's Jamaica, my perfect destination.

Jamaica's culture is known and loved the world over for its vibrancy and diversity, there's an intangible feeling that sets Jamaica apart, there's a vibe a combination of rhythm and energy, passion and beauty that I think makes this country unique.

Investigating about Jamaica I also read that it has the highest murder rates per capita in the world, but traveling anywhere abroad is inherently dangerous so, who cares?

Jamaica's still a wonderful island to visit.
